My daughter, who was 9, and her dad were playing in the ocean near our home.  Myself and my youngest daughter were sitting not 10 feet from them playing in the sand.  We were new to the area, only having moved there 4 months earlier.  Watching my 5 yr. old cover my feet with sand,  I was distracted by the siren on the beach patrol car that was heading down the
beach our way.  Not paying much attention,  I went back to my daughter and our feet burying project.

Within seconds, the siren was close and the beach patrol car had sped up to us and stopped. Three lifeguards were jumping out.  I turned to my husband and daughter and they were gone. Totally disappeared!  Not 2 minutes before they were splashing in water up to their knees. How could this be. What seemed like hours, now 6 lifeguards were out in the waves searching for them. I remember feeling like they are gone, gone and they are not coming back, screaming, crying, running up and down the beach.

After what seemed like an eternity, my husband came crawling out on his hands and knees, looking weak and a horrid gray color. Lifeguards ran to him and helped him to their truck to work on him.

But still, no Sarah.
I prayed please don't take my baby from me.
All of a sudden a lifeguard had her in
his arms. He was being pulled in by 2 other lifeguards hooked to him as the run outs were very strong and dangerous.
She was not breathing.
As they brought her in, they rushed to their truck to work on her. I waited and prayed and cried. They were both rushed to the hospital and put in separate rooms.

I went to my husband, and asked what happened. Then I went to my daughter who they had revived, and just sat counting my blessings.
Both were admitted, and when my little girl was stable enough to talk to us, I asked her what happened.

Now this same story came from my husband in one room and my baby in another, and they had not seen each other yet since the near drowning.

Now I will tell you this wonderful miracle.

My husband said that he stepped to the side and fell into a run out, and this took he and Sarah down under and out. He said he kept fighting to stay above the water and kept throwing our baby up out of the water but he could not do it. It just kept bringing them down under. He said that when he felt he could no longer fight anymore, he heard a man say "Throw her to me, I will hold her till the lifeguard gets her".  He could see a man just standing there.  Then he said, Go save yourself.  He pushed our baby one more time to the man.  The next thing he remembers is crawling out of the water.

Now my daughter's story at 9 yrs old.

There was a man, mommy, and he told Daddy to let him hold me till the lifeguards got there. The man just held me in his arms, he was not even moving. That was all she remembered.  Now I was there on the beach, there was no man!!!!  There was no one in that water, just the lifeguards trying to find my baby.  There was no Sarah in site. And all of a sudden, Sarah appeared in the lifeguards arms.

Oh yes, this was an angel that
saved my husband and baby.
A wonderful, beautiful angel that gave me
back my family that day!
So please know, there ARE angels, we know this!
